I just went to CHILL WINSTON in GasTown for a deep glass of red wine with JJ and we had all the chats. However, quite suddenly JJ (who admittedly is a cheap drunk) was tipsy on his ONE glass of Francis Coppola White Winery(?)! It was just the most. I had an over done version of poutine but they doused it in pulled pork.. which was slightly uncalled for. Our waiter was really on the dashing side and was clearly into the men, but when looking at him out from behind the bar and not afar he was rather small in stature. JJ said he doesn’t like that and so we pranced off. Tonight I was supposed to be seeing Mr Stattham in his electrifying CRANK 2, but being that it was Earth Day on wednesday, and it’s all about earth week I was pretty pumped on going to see EARTH. I am really happy to have suggested it because although Crank would have been hysterical, nothing like a well shot film about a family of humpback whales and polar bears and … that other family I don’t remember to really make your heart race. I am a sucker for wildlife documentaries. When I had a tv with channels I paid the extra money to get Animal Planet, which is actually not that great for interesting animal stuff. National Geographic is pretty much top notch, but that’s not really surprising. PLANET EARTH was so amazing, and I could sit watching it for hours on end. I really always wanted to work in a zoo or an aquarium and now I do and it is great being close to fascinating animals you don’t get to see often. Suddenly seeing otters and whales every morning seems normal. I don’t really think about the fact I see sharks every day, even if my job is sort of the worst, the place I work is pretty sweet and has a lot of interesting resources and outlets to learn more. Well somewhere I lost my point. I am excited to be seeing EARTH with KatSanto tonight. It is sure to involve COMBO #4 and a good song or two, or snide stares… or inappropriate laughter. She is my favourite person to see a movie with. Oh no one does it better. No one. cheerio
